The
Council on International Financial Cooperation (CIFC) is pleased to invite
applications for the 2025 Visiting Professionals Program (ViPP). This
eight-week program offers public officials and policymakers the opportunity to
conduct joint research and engage in knowledge exchange with Korean
counterparts. Participants will collaborate with experts from CIFC’s member
institutions, take part in discussions, visit financial institutions, and write
research papers. Each participant can choose one of the following topics:
financial stability, digital transformation, insurance industry development,
and climate finance.
ViPP consists
of two four-week phases. In the first phase, conducted online, participants
will meet mentor and research partner(s), with whom they will develop research
agendas. The second phase will take place in Korea, where participants will
engage in in-person workshops, conduct research, and finalize their working
papers for publication. In the meantime, participants will be given
opportunities to experience Korean culture.
To
be eligible, candidates must be non-Korean nationals and meet one of the
following criteria: either hold a master’s degree with at least ten years of
relevant experience or have a minimum of fifteen years of experience as a
public officer at a financial authority. Since the program involves close
collaboration with Korean counterparts, fluency in English is essential.
For
details of the ViPP including application processes and forms, please
